Specifications for standard bird hides We use 2 no. standard weatherboard claddings as follows:-
‘Tanalised' weatherboard manufactured to our own
Standard Tanalised rebated feather edge weatherboard. ‘Tanalised’ rebated feather-edge, again to our own specifications with a deeper rebate than normal to prevent dislocation when timber is dry.
Non standard Tanalised vertical weatherboard. ‘Tanalised’ vertical cladding comprising rough-sawn Frame. Protimised or planed all round. Floor. Protimised planed tongued and grooved Observation or viewing slots. Can be open slots or fitted with either Platform. Posts are of 'Tanalised' rough- sawn timber, Deeper and lower viewing slots, and knee External covers for disabled viewing sections are specially made for ourselves from galvanised steel sheeting covered in plastisol ( Maintainance free ) This can be omitted if it is not Door. Wide door to give easy access to wheelchair users. All timber is 'Tanalised’. Complete with galvanised tee hinges,
As standard, benches are provided for all front facing Roof. All timber 'Protimised'. 'Corruline' corrugated bitumen/fibre sheets Shelves/Elbow Rests. Far-east plywood supported by Guttering. Brown half-round guttering complete with brackets, Fixings. All bolts, screws, nails and other fixings are galvanised Timber generally. On a standard hide, all timber in platform, Other colours include light-brown, green and black etc. The timber we Treating timber with 'Non-Com Exterior' fire retardant is another FSC Timber. As from Jan 31st 2007, our hides are made entirely from FSC or PEFC timber. |
