Timber generally.

On a standard hide, all timber in platform,
hide floor joists and cladding are 'Tanalised'. All other timber is
'Protimised'. If a colour other than 'Tanalised' green is required the
cladding can be stained to required colour before leaving our workshop.

Other colours include light-brown, green and black etc. The timber we
use is Scandinavian red-wood and white-wood which when 'Tanalised',
is ideal for the job. It also comes from a sustainable source.
‘Tanalised' and  'Protimised' are high specification pressure preservative
wood  treatments by Arch Chemicals of Castleford, West Yorkshire,
and come with a guarantee on request.

Treating timber with 'Non-Com Exterior' fire retardant is another
option you may want to consider. It is an expensive but effective way
of minimising the risk of arson.

FSC Timber.

As from Jan 31st 2007, our hides are made entirely from FSC or PEFC timber.
