Crossness Nature Reserve Thames water
Octagonal double level hide.
Unusually deep concrete base had to be constructed for this hide as it used
steel cloums on each corner (total of 8) to strengthen the hide
which also meant comprehensive re-enforcing within the base as
shown in the photo below.
Photo below shows 8 steel columns providing internal strength to support the timber hide panels.
All steelwork manufactured by ourselves in our own workshops.

Working late to get completed on time
This hide also used whats known as a "flitch plate" which consists of a steel plate fastened inbetween the supporting
timber as shown below.This created an extremely strong support for the upper floor.
