Elevated hides

On many occasions we are asked to manufacture and constuct elevated bird hides as can be seen from the photos on the right hand side of this page

The bases of these elevated hides can
either be a concrete base with galvanised    
brackets to fasten the elevated section
to the concrete or use of piles if the
ground is very soft 

Ground posts can also be used that are concreted into the ground if the ground is considered firm enough to support the bird hide

  
In the case of the Island Mere hide at Minsmere then steel case driven piles were used and the elevated sections bolted directly to the pile caps.

 On the Bittern hide also at Minsmere    
piles were driven into the ground and
a concrete ring cast over the pile
caps and then the elevated section
bolted down to the concrete ring beam
as can be seen on the photos
